All Points Bulletin takes the classic street gangs vs police and takes it to a completely new level. The developers behind APB, RealTime Worlds, put you in a living breathing city and lets you choose to either join the criminal underworld or join the police force. Each factor has its own unique missions and like any good MMO you are almost forced to work together with your �crew� or clan to survive in the hostile crime filled street.
The Enforcer faction, or police, role is exactly what you would think it should be, they patrol the streets in search of crimes in progress or notorious criminals by yourself or with your crew. As a cop your main responsibility is to bring criminals to justice not only by killing but making arrests this allows for players to choose between run and gun to a more tactical style of play. Some of the other activities police participate in ranges from investigations to raids which forces the gangs to keep on their toes.
As a third person shooter your characters outfit plays a big part in how other players react to you. Player customization is taken to a whole new level, everything from tattoos to logos on your character is customizable. Colors and words are completely customizable allowing for crews to create their unique feel and matching gear. Working as a crew is a big part of the game, you can share weapon upgrades, call for back up when you find yourself out numbered, unlike most MMO games if you play alone you�re not really going to be able to pick up on the full experience. APB has a unique system that allows you to send out invites to your crew or other members of your faction for assistance in a battle which turns a simple three on two scenario into a full-scale battle which can be won or lost based on your weapons.
There is a large range of weapons to choose from in the city from submachine guns to rocket launchers and everything in between. One of the perks of being an enforcer is the ability to use non lethal force effectively. Enforcers have the use of stun guns, stun grenades, and non lethal rounds at their disposal which causes the criminals to stumble making them possible to arrest, instead of killing them, which earns you more cash. On the criminal side they have just as much access to weapons but they can also use non lethal force to evade cops or make them easier targets.
